April Assemblies: A mont of creativity and team work ✨📚🎤
At The School of Hope, school assemblies are much more than a moment when the whole school comes together. They are spaces for learning, creativity, and above all for strengthening the importance of teamwork. Each grade prepares, with dedication and effort, a presentation on a specific topic. Throughout the year, every grade is responsible for organizing its own assembly. Some focus on science, others on values, history, or cultural themes related to Guatemala. One of the most beautiful parts of these gatherings is watching our students take the microphone with confidence and commit to sharing what they’ve learned with the rest of the school.
Today, we want to share a few photos from our most recent April assemblies. These images reflect not only our students’ dedication but also the support they receive from their teachers, who guide them week after week and nurture their love for learning.
En la Escuela La Esperanza las asambleas escolares son mucho más que un espacio donde toda la escuela se reúne. Son un espacio de aprendizaje, creatividad y sobre todo para reforzar la importancia del trabajo en equipo. Cada grado prepara con mucha dedicación , y empeño una presentación sobre un tema en particular. A lo largo del año cada grado es responsable de organizar su propia asamblea. Algunas tienen temas relacionados a la ciencia, otras de valores, historia, o temas culturales relacionados a Guatemala. Lo más bonito de estos encuentros, es ver cómo nuestros estudiantes toman el micrófono con confianza y están comprometidos con compartir todo lo aprendido con el resto de la escuela.
Hoy queremos compartir algunas fotos de nuestras ultimas asambleas del mes de abril. Estas fotos no solo reflejan la dedicación de nuestros estudiantes sino también todo el apoyo que reciben por parte de sus profesoras, quienes semana a semana los acompañan, guían y fomentan su amor por continuar aprendiendo.
Weather Assembly
The students learned about the different types of weather found in Guatemala, sharing their knowledge in a creative, dynamic, and participatory way. Our first‑grade students performed a dance to a weather‑themed song and came dressed to represent different types of weather, showcasing each one in a fun and engaging way. They also shared interesting facts and explained how weather influences their daily lives and how it varies across the different regions of the country.
Asamblea sobre el clima
Los estudiantes aprendieron sobre los diferentes tipos de clima que existen en Guatemala, compartiendo sus conocimientos de una manera creativa, dinámica y participativa. Nuestros estudiantes de primer grado realizaron un baile con una canción relacionada con el clima y asistieron vestidos según distintos tipos de clima, representando de forma divertida características de cada uno. Además, compartieron datos curiosos y explicaciones sobre cómo el clima influye en su vida diaria y cómo se presenta en las diferentes regiones del país.
Book Day Assembly
Our third grade students led a special Book Day assembly with a theatrical presentation inspired by the story of The Three Little Pigs. Their goal was to celebrate reading in a dynamic and participatory way. Through this activity, students reflected on and expressed the importance of books in their daily lives, highlighting how reading helps develop imagination, learning, creativity, and new knowledge.
Asamblea sobre el día del libro
Nuestros alumnos de tercer grado realizaron una asamblea por el Día del Libro con una presentación teatral inspirada en el cuento de “The Three Little Pigs”, con el objetivo de celebrar la lectura de una manera dinámica y participativa. A través de la actividad, los estudiantes pudieron reflexionar y expresar la importancia de los libros su día a día, destacando cómo la lectura ayuda a desarrollar la imaginación, el aprendizaje, la creatividad y nuevos conocimientos.
