Hope in Motion US 2025: When Fitness Meets Purpose
In 2025, Hope in Motion brought our US community together through a virtual exercise challenge set in and around Antigua, Guatemala. Hosted by Education for the Children Foundation (EFTC USA), the event offered supporters a unique opportunity to push toward their summer fitness goals while championing the health and wellbeing of more than 600 students at the School of Hope in Jocotenango.
Participants walked, ran, biked, or swam their way through a 26‑mile custom virtual course, logging their progress through the My Virtual Mission platform. As they advanced, they received inspiring digital postcards featuring landmarks across Antigua and Jocotenango, along with stories that highlighted the daily lives, resilience, and determination of the students and families they were supporting.
Registration opened with great excitement, and although the challenge was available only to our USA‑based supporters this year, we were thrilled to announce that we have plans to take Hope in Motion global in 2026.
From July 14–28, participants completed their miles at their own pace, from wherever they were, all while raising critical funds for healthcare services at the School of Hope. Every step, pedal, and stroke supported EFTC’s Nurture Network (Health & Wellness Program), which provides essential medical care, preventative health services, and health education to our students.
Thanks to the incredible energy, commitment, and generosity of everyone involved, we raised $2,233.97.
We are sure that every mile and every dollar will help us move hope forward. Thank you for walking beside us, for believing in their future, and for helping us make a difference that truly lasts.
