Our goal at Education for the Children is to ensure all of our students are supported throughout their education, while helping them build a pathway toward future employment. The Scholarship Programme plays an important part in this process, something that would not be possible without our dedicated staff.
Nuestro objetivo en Fundación Educando a los Niños es garantizar que todos nuestros estudiantes reciban apoyo a lo largo de su educación, mientras los ayudamos a construir un camino hacia futuras oportunidades de empleo. El Programa de Becas desempeña un papel fundamental en este proceso, algo que no sería posible sin nuestro dedicado equipo de trabajo.

Scholarship Program Director
Patty has spent the last 20 years supporting all of our scholarship students on their journey and truly knows each of them better than anyone else. Patty coordinates closely with her team to ensure each student is guided towards the right fit for their further education & employment. She also keeps in regular contact with our university students, guiding and supporting them throughout their studies. In addition, she helps some of our students prepare their CVs and supports them in finding meaningful employment opportunities.
Patty ha dedicado los últimos 20 años a apoyar a todos nuestros estudiantes becados a lo largo de su trayectoria y realmente conoce a cada uno de ellos mejor que nadie. Patty trabaja en estrecha coordinación con su equipo para asegurarse de que cada estudiante reciba la orientación adecuada y encuentre la opción que mejor se adapte a sus estudios posteriores y a sus oportunidades de empleo.
También mantiene un contacto constante con nuestros estudiantes universitarios, brindándoles orientación y apoyo durante toda su formación. Además, ayuda a algunos de nuestros estudiantes a preparar sus CV y los apoya en la búsqueda de oportunidades de empleo dignas y significativas.

Educational Counselor
Ilse is responsible for supporting our scholarship students navigate their daily struggles, including any challenges they face balancing their studies with their lives outside of school. Ilse offers confidential one-on-one support to talk through any worries that might be preventing our students from fully flourishing as they progress through further education and into employment. She also provides vocational guidance to students in 9th grade and continues to support our High School students with vocational guidance when they enter university, helping them make informed decisions about their future studies and career paths.
Ilse es responsable de apoyar a nuestros estudiantes becados a enfrentar las dificultades de su día a día, incluyendo cualquier desafío que puedan tener para equilibrar sus estudios con su vida fuera de la escuela. Ilse ofrece apoyo confidencial e individualizado para que puedan hablar sobre cualquier preocupación que pueda estar impidiendo que nuestros estudiantes se desarrollen plenamente a medida que avanzan en sus estudios y posteriormente hacia el mundo laboral.
También brinda orientación vocacional a los estudiantes de 9.º grado y continúa apoyando a nuestros estudiantes de secundaria con orientación vocacional cuando ingresan a la universidad, ayudándolos a tomar decisiones informadas sobre sus futuros estudios y sus caminos profesionales.

Educational Counselor
Marco is responsible for supporting and following up with the High School students throughout their studies. He keeps track of their progress, stays informed about their academic and personal needs, and provides guidance and support to help them stay on track and successfully complete High School and graduate.
Marco es responsable de apoyar y dar seguimiento a los estudiantes de secundaria durante sus estudios. Lleva un registro de su progreso, se mantiene informado sobre sus necesidades académicas y personales, y les brinda orientación y apoyo para ayudarlos a mantenerse encaminados, completar con éxito la secundaria y graduarse.
Exploring Future Careers / Explorando futuras carreras
Throughout the year, Ilse works individually with 9th Grade students to explore their strengths, interests, and future career options.
In July 2026, our students took their learning beyond the classroom by taking part in job shadowing experiences with local professionals. They visited workplaces in healthcare, education, electrical services, administration, accounting, and hospitality, giving them a firsthand look at potential careers.
A lo largo del año, Ilse trabaja individualmente con los estudiantes de 9.º grado para explorar sus fortalezas, intereses y diferentes opciones para su futuro profesional.
En julio de 2026, nuestros estudiantes llevaron su aprendizaje más allá del aula al participar en experiencias de observación laboral (job shadowing) con profesionales locales. Visitaron lugares de trabajo en áreas como salud, educación, servicios eléctricos, administración, contabilidad y hotelería, lo que les permitió conocer de primera mano diferentes opciones de carrera.
Preparing for What Comes Next / Preparándose para lo que viene
Marco led various workshops for our 10th and 11th Grade scholarship students that helped prepare them for practical placements, building confidence, staying motivated, and developing habits for success in school and the workplace.
Marco impartió diversos talleres para nuestros estudiantes becados de 10.º y 11.º grado, ayudándolos a prepararse para sus prácticas, fortalecer su confianza, mantenerse motivados y desarrollar hábitos que contribuyan a su éxito tanto en sus estudios como en el lugar de trabajo.
A Pathway to Employment / Un camino hacia el empleo
These experiences help form our Future Pathways Program, supporting students beyond The School of Hope as they pursue further education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and meaningful employment.
By combining individual guidance, real-world experiences, and ongoing support, we are helping students turn their goals for the future into achievable plans.
Estas experiencias contribuyen a formar nuestro Programa de Becas, que apoya a los estudiantes más allá de la Escuela de la Esperanza mientras continúan con sus estudios superiores, formación técnica y vocacional, emprendimiento y la búsqueda de oportunidades de empleo dignas y significativas.
