8th Grade Assembly: World Youth Skills Day π‘π οΈπ
Give a big applause for our eight-grade student! They led a special assembly in celebration of World Youth Skills Day. This day is a global reminder of how important it is to equip young generations with the right tool to grow, thrive and one day find a meaningful work or even begin their own entrepreneurial journeys.
The assembly began with the national anthem of Guatemala. Then, the students gave various speeches related to World Youth Skills Day. They shared about the skills they posses such as drawing and carpentry. Later they introduced several people who have made a difference in Guatemala thanks to their talents.
The students prepared posters featuring Guatemalan who made a positive impact in the country, such as the creator of Incaparina and the founder of Duolingo. Eunice, the science teacher, asked the students some questions about what they had learned. In this way, the students stayed concentrated to their classmates presentations.
Of course, our younger students were captivated. You could see the curiosity in their eyes. It is incredible to see how the little ones are the most excited during our assemblies. Even some asked to each other who they would like to be when they grow up. They are full of dreams, and we are here to be the bridge that helps them reach their goals.
